- Rain the WHOLE F(*#(@*# weekend and I mean it rain liked 'Cats and Dogs'
- Leaking Roof and Windows. Ding!!!!!! I spent my weekend mopping the floor and squeezing water out from towels
- Daylight Savings (lost one hour of very precious beauty sleep)
It's been a while since I felt this way about my weekend. But shit, I hardly slept because I was afraid of water dripping everywhere in my bedroom and the kitchen.
We knew about the leaking windows when we bought the house AND we knew flat roof generally are not good for a house (b/c water satuarates on a flat surface and it will leak somewhere). But we still got it because we absolutely love everything else about the house.
However this weekend was definitely an eye opening experience for us. Water was constantly leaking through the windows as soon as it started raining. By Saturday night, it started seeping through the ceiling wall and paint started to peel. **Knock on wood** I hope the water stain won't spread anywhere else and finding puddles on our floor. We turned on the de-humidifer to obsorb as much moisture as we can in the bedroom. Now we have to hope and pray that it won't rain as hard as it did anymore.
Snow and moderate rain we can handle - but ding don't give me anymore rainfall. My roof can't hold it!
