Barbie is playing with 'Mad Men'

Woke up this morning and heard the radio broadcaster saying Mattel is coming out with a 'Mad Men' Barbie collection. As a Mad Men #1 fan, I was floored.

Mattel plans to add 4 main characters from the show to their premium-price collectors' series for adults. (L-R Joan Halloway, Roger Sterling, Don Draper and Betty Drager) The suggested retail price is $74.95 and to be sold in speciality stores, amctv.com and barbiecollector.com

I am a sucker for cute, dingty little things. The furniture, file folders and the fake plants are identical to what you see on the show. Now that's what I call attention to detail.

Personally I am debating whether I should get them. A little research online shows a price range of a few dollars to $100, depending on the doll's condition and the style as well. But then again, remember the days when every little girl just has to have a Barbie Doll at home. Well, I am at the age where growing up is not that much fun anymore. Playing dolls and house with friends with no single worry surround me sound much better.
