It's as home made as it gets in my household; which is buying a bottle of sauce, marinate the meat and cook it. My boy loves eating this because it's cheaper to make it at home and also more tastier : ) We tried making Jerk Snapper one time but I put too much sauce on the fish that we almost drank a jug of juice to tame the numbness of our tongue. hehe...
Lesson Learned: Those sauce are real Jamaican Jerk sauce 'man' *say it with the accent* - a little goes a long way.
Can't wait to go home and cook - Wah so c-lai talk. Is that what happen when you are a newly wed?
* After Dinner* Here are the Chicken Quarter Legs with the sauce which have been marinated overnight. I didn't add anything else ~ so no salt, pepper, soy sauce, etc... Put the meat in the oven, broiled it for 15 mins and then bake it for another 10 mins at 250 C. My oven is really hot, so I didn't need to broil the meat again to cook it through and also get the nice crispy texture.
So this is the end product after 30 mins. You can see the skin is nice and crispy ~ reminds me of the 'Yu Chui'(Chinese crispy skin pork). Didn't take any pictures of the meat but it was very moist : ) We each had three pieces for dinner along with lots of Chinese veggies. My Boy likes it and said "Just the right amount of kick from the Jerk Sauce' Bon Apetite~
