Whiskey Pork Chops

Of course I wasn't refer to myself as Pork Chop (PC) la. I'm referring to a dish I cooked - Whiskey Pork Chop. This is actually a recipe I found online and it turned out pretty good - bf gave two thumbs up :)

Ingredients:

4 (6-oz) boneless, pork loin chops
1 Tbsp canola oil
1/3 cup whiskey
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
Salt & freshlyground pepper

Instructions:

1. Heat a large oiled nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
2. Brown chops, about 2 minutes per side.
3. Lower heat to medium and add whiskey.

4. Cover and cook 5 to 7 minutes or until the chops are cooked through.
5. Remove chops to a plate and set aside.
6. Add 3/4 cup water, sugar and mustard to the skillet.

7. Blend well and raise the heat to high.
8. Reduce to a smooth sauce. It will thicken as it reduces, about 3 minutes.
9. Spoon sauce over chops. Season with salt and pepper

This is how it looks like after I set the Pork chops aside. The meat is very juicy! Looks good enough to eat it right away.

Asked bf if he likes this dish or the Creme of Mushroom PC better. His answer was 'They are both very tasty, you should cook both again'. *sigh* Men - nothing more to say.
