Haven't been spending Quality time with my gfs lately. So I invited them out for Brunch + Movie 'He's just not that into you'.
Brunch: This was hard for us to decide on the location. Some people wanted non-Chinese food, some people wanted this and that...... In the end, we settled on Cafe Crepe on Queen St. W. We planned for 11am but w/ Malay time it means 11:30am for everyone else, haha! No time to take pics because we had to order, eat, pay and out of the place by noon to watch the 12:20pm showing at the movie theatre. Luckily the crepe place is v. close to the theatre. But seriously we barely talked once the food came. We all ordered saviour crepes. Mine had Chicken, Egg, Swiss Cheese & Mayo. Ms. LY had mushroom, ham & egg. Ms. Y had mushroom, spinach & egg and Ms. J had tomato, ham & egg.
With Ms. LY order or Americano - the bill came out to be $38. Mine crepe was great - I'd add muschroom/spinch next time to give some texture. It was too mushy. But at least it was hot!
Movie: well girl's day out - so of course we chose a chick flick la. 'He's just Not that into you' is base on a self-help best seller book. honestly, I wanted to watch the 'Shopoholic' instead. BUT in the end I ending up choosing this one. Great Chick Flick! Don't expect an oscar worthy performance from any of the actors. although both jennifer connerly & Ben affleck has one of those cute little golden statue at home. This movie is a romantic comedy. LOTS and i mean LOTS of famous actors/actresses are in it. Just to name a few - jennifer anniston, ben afflect, Scarlett Johanson, Jennifer Connerly.... I was trying really hard to remember their movie character names, but honestly with this many characters in the movie - it was bound to be confusing.
Overall, I'd recommend watching it with a gf (of course la). There were moments which made me laugh and think. Laugh - b/c some of these girls were just idiots.
Think - b/c some of their theories are actually quite true. for instance; one of the guy said why do girls have this theory of over thinking about every little things guys do to them. sometime a guy just being a guy. There's no hidden agenda behind their actions.
Think - b/c of how lucky I am to have found someone to share my life with :)
After the movie, we all went our separate ways. Some got major chores to do, some had to study, some had another party to go to. Me - I went shopping :) Didn't buy anything though - so that was a bit sad.
Met up w/ BF later on and went for dinner (see previous entry on Fair Rest.)
