13, 14 and 1 = a Family of 3

Not sure if anyone has been following the news lately but a friend of mine send this to me via email and after reading it. I am quite disturbed. In fact, I am quite disgusted with the article.

The article talks about a boy, who is 12 when he had un-protected sex with his then 14 years old girlfriend and 9 months later, guess what happened...... A baby girl is born.

That's right, a new family of three was born on Feb 9th, 2009. Dad - 13 years old, Mom - 15 years old.

My first thought is - what on earth were they thinking about? More specifically, what on earth was the girl thinking about having un-protected sex with her younger boyfriend.

Here are my list of questions which will never get answer:

1. Where were the parents when they were 'doing it'?
2. Who would leave their kids unattended by themself?
3. I thought boys always think of girls as having cuddies - and as such, how do they get girlfriends when they are only 12?
4. Boys of 12 can have sperms already?
5. Was it their first time?

So for all my readers out there, please please please I beg you to be good parents when you have kids. Be a good model, be their friends but most importantly; know when to be a parent as well. Just think back about your childhoods and how happy and carefree it was for us. I must thank my mom for all her patience. god only knows I was a handful back then :)
