Marley & Me

One of BF's cousins has recently gone through some rough batches last year - Lo goon ran away from family and left cousin by herself to be a single parent of two young boys. It's the new year so don't want to talk about that f*(&$&@ man la. So moving on ...... my bf being the perfect cousin thought it'd be a good idea to take the boys to watach movie so mom can run her errands by herself.

The boys wanted to watch Marley & Me and I was up for it because it's a doggie movie, so off we went to the closest movie theatre by their house on Eglinton St.

Not sure if anyone have heard but this movie is a true story. There was a dog named Marley and he completely ruled over the house. I actually heard about this dog almost a year ago before the movie came out on the big screen. About 1 year ago, bf and I was watching a TV show called 'The Dog Whisperer' on National Geographic Channel. The Whisperer - Cesar Millan was helping this couple who recently got a new puppy after they lost their original dog. Guess the name of the original dog - Yup! It's Marley :) That was the first time I heard about this dog and also the best seller book - Marley & Me (Above picture on right).

I have a soft spot for Lab. Dog because I have a mixed dog of Beagle & Lab. at home. So everytime I see a Lab. on the street, my heart will immediately think of my own doggie.

The movie turned out pretty good. I don't have to tell you (the smart reader) what happened in the movie - it's pretty obvious how it ended. But what I admired the most was the way they captured that moment. It was simple and beautiful. I believe there was no one set of dry eyes in that movie theater - well perhaps maybe the 2 boys.

Go watch it in the theatre instead of BT. It one of those movies where you don't have to explain why your mascara is running when the light turns on.
