As promised la, I'm now posting my very belated Christmas blog. It's never late than ever ma!
So from the pictures above (L-R), those are the goodies I stuffed myself with over the holiday. Technically speaking, the meal was really on X'mas eve but I didn't take any pics during the actual X'mas dinner so this will have to do.
The first picture is something you can get from M&M - Escargos in mini buns. M&M is so smart - they know people are busy. So they have all these frozen appetizers, entres, desserts available all over the city. You buy from their fridge then just bake it in your oven based from the instructions and Viola - you have amazing goodies for your guest.
Honestly, I was just 'so-so' on the escargos. It was cooked in a garlic brooth and when you bake it, there's a hint of the flavour sticked on the bun. Maybe the E was over cooked a little bit, but the mini buns are so cute.
Now moving on to the 'Bread-in-a-hole'. I LOVE this! In fact, I took home the leftovers and had it for the next several days as snack! It's really just a Knorr - Cream of Vegetable (the dry stuff) and mixed it with some water (I think...). Then it'll turn into a dip. Next, you dig a hole in your bread, scoop the dip mixture to the hole. It's that simple!
Shrimp Samosa is the triangle deep-fried looking thing. This was again just 'so-so'. It had mayo inside to keep it moist. I still prefer the traditional pototas meat samosa. One of the best one I've had is near Thorncliffe. Such a small little take-out place. I'll write about it next time I pick up some from there.
Finally, the main item - THE BIRD! It's a smoked turkey which we picked up from somewhere. haha... As you can see, we didn't have to do too much cooking for this meal. But we did have to do the dishes.....
So that's the big table with all the food. We had salads, shrimps, wine etc... Very Yummy Overall!
Bf, me & BF's bro then played Rock band until 3am. I only remember my fingers were hurting the next day from holding the guitar in a very awkward position. Me so not ever going to properly learn to play guitar - that thing is weird. I'll stick to my piano.
